Fishing charters & tours
Fill every seat, and keep the weather from costing you the day.
A charter sells a trip, not a product: a date, a captain, a boat and a group. We make booking easy, handle the rain-or-shine rules, and keep your captains and guides on one schedule.
What we set up
Book a seat or the whole boat
Customers choose a trip, a date and a private or shared seat count, see live availability, and pay a deposit. Gift cards sell year-round.
Weather calls without the phone tree
When you cancel for weather, every guest gets a text with a free reschedule or refund based on your policy, and the day's captain and crew are updated at once.
Captains, boats and trip logs
Assign a captain, mate and boat to each trip, keep licenses and insurance dates on file, and send a thank-you with photos and a review link when guests are back at the dock.
Where this business gets hard
Weather and sea state calls
You decide whether a trip runs, often before dawn and sometimes after guests have already driven in. A written policy, a firm cutoff time and a fast text to every guest keeps the call from turning into an argument.
Minimum guests and shared trips
A shared trip with two guests may not cover fuel and crew. A minimum passenger count and a cutoff for converting or cancelling the trip should be set ahead of time.
Fuel, bait, ice and trip costs
Fuel and bait are costs that move with the price and the trip length. Pricing too low or forgetting a fuel surcharge on long runs quietly eats the margin.
Licenses, insurance and crew
Charter captains need the right license, and a mate may need training. Rules on passenger counts, safety gear and fishing licenses vary by state, and the owner stays responsible for compliance.
Set up for the way you work
Not every fishing charters & tours business runs the same way. We adjust the setup to fit yours.
- Inshore and nearshore charters
- Short trips, small groups and flexible start times. Weather is milder, but tides and bait availability shape the day.
- Offshore and half or full day trips
- Higher fuel use, longer days and bigger deposits. Cancellation lines are stricter because the trip is committed hours before departure.
- Head boats and shared trips
- Guests book by the seat on a larger boat, so a minimum, a seat cap and a fishing-license reminder matter. Rod and bait rentals are common add-ons.
- Sightseeing, sunset and eco tours
- Not fishing at all, but the same boat. These trips suit families and tourists, so gift cards, seasonal schedules and hotel partners matter.
Busy seasons and slow ones
Peak seasons follow the fish and the tourists, with weekends and holidays busiest, and some months are slow because of species, cold or hurricane risk. Deposits on advance bookings lock in the peak months, and gift cards sell well before holidays. Weather holds with an easy reschedule protect revenue, and reminder texts a few days ahead confirm headcount, arrival time and what to bring. Off-season offers on weekday or sightseeing trips keep the boat busy.
What your customers ask before they book
Your AI assistant and website are set up to answer these before anyone has to call.
- What fish are biting, and what is the best time of year to go?
- Do you provide tackle, bait and a fishing license, or do I bring my own?
- What happens if the weather cancels the trip?
- Is it a private charter or shared, and how many can come?
- Is it safe for kids, and do they need a life jacket?
- What should we bring, and is food or drink allowed on board?
Common mistakes we help you avoid
- Letting a shared trip run with too few guests to cover costs.
- Cancelling for weather by phone and missing guests who never got the message.
- Letting a captain or crew license quietly expire.
- Taking full payment on the day, so a no-show leaves a boat empty and nothing collected.
Licenses and trip rules
Charter captains need the right license and insurance, and rules on passenger counts, safety gear and fishing licenses vary by state. We keep your documents on file and build the waiver and briefing steps your way, and you stay responsible for compliance.
