Tattoo & piercing studios
Fewer back-and-forth DMs, more booked chairs.
A studio lives on artist portfolios, design conversations and sessions that start with a deposit. We build a website that shows each artist's work, takes consultation requests and keeps bookings, deposits, forms and supplies organized behind it, so the artists spend their time tattooing instead of answering the same messages.
What we set up
Portfolios, consultations and artist calendars
Each artist has a portfolio page and a calendar with the limits they set. A client requests a design consultation, the artist or front desk confirms it, and a booked session follows only after the design and deposit are agreed.
Deposits, design approval and policies
A deposit holds the session, with your cancellation and no-show terms stated up front. Design drafts and revisions are tracked per client, and consent and release forms are handed off to your own records before the session.
Artist pay, supplies and the studio's records
Booth rent, commission and hourly artists are tracked on one board. Ink, needle and jewelry counts drop as sessions close, and flash days, touch-ups and gift cards each have their own simple flow.
Where this business gets hard
Endless DMs about price and availability
Clients message several artists with the same questions. A consultation request with a clear scope, the artist's preferred days and a deposit step moves the conversation into one place, and the artist, not a chatbot, quotes the work.
No-shows and last-minute cancels on long sessions
A multi-hour session blocks an artist's whole day. A deposit, a stated cancellation window and reminders protect that time, and the policy is shown before the client pays.
Design revisions with no record
Drafts, changes and approvals live across texts and email. Tracking each design's status per client keeps everyone on the same version before the session starts.
Paperwork and inspections are the owner's burden
Consent forms, sterilization logs, training records and license dates have to be ready when an inspector visits. Reminders and a checklist keep them in front of you, while the records themselves stay in your own files.
Set up for the way you work
Not every tattoo & piercing studios business runs the same way. We adjust the setup to fit yours.
- Custom-focused tattoo studio
- Long sessions, design consultations and deposits drive the setup. Artist portfolios and approval steps matter most.
- Walk-in and flash shop
- Flash days, short pieces and a lot of walk-ins. A simple waitlist and a clear flash-day announcement carry the setup.
- Piercing-focused studio
- Short appointments, jewelry sales and age and guardian rules at the door. Jewelry inventory and quick booking drive the setup.
- Booth-rent or shared studio
- Each artist runs their own book and clients. The owner needs per-artist calendars, rent tracking and license records, and artists may want their own booking link.
Busy seasons and slow ones
Many studios get busier in spring and summer, around holidays and before vacations, and when a guest artist or convention brings new interest. Winter and early weeks of the year can be slower. Quiet stretches are a good time to run flash days, promote gift cards and fill weekday gaps. Timing is only a pattern, and each artist decides what work they take.
What your customers ask before they book
Your AI assistant and website are set up to answer these before anyone has to call.
- Can I book a consultation with a specific artist?
- Can you give me a price before I come in? (The artist quotes after the consultation.)
- How much is the deposit, and is it refundable?
- How old do I need to be, and do I need a parent or guardian? (Rules vary by state.)
- Can I bring my own design, and can it be changed?
- Do you offer gift cards, flash days or touch-ups?
Common mistakes we help you avoid
- Letting a chatbot or front desk quote a price or promise a design before the artist has weighed in.
- Taking a booking for someone whose age or ID has not been checked in person.
- Skipping a deposit and cancellation policy, then losing whole afternoons to no-shows.
- Answering healing or aftercare questions with personal medical opinions instead of the studio's standard written aftercare.
Licensing, age and health rules vary
Studios and artists are licensed and inspected by the state or county health department, and rules on age, parental consent, ID, bloodborne-pathogen training and sterilization differ by state and sometimes by city. A real studio verifies age and ID in person. We build booking, forms and reminders around your own policies, and sterilization logs and training records stay the owner's own records. Aftercare text is generic and is never medical advice. The AI never gives medical, healing or aftercare-diagnosis advice and never promises a design or a price. You stay responsible for meeting the rules that apply to your studio. We do not give legal or medical advice.
