Dog walkers, sitters & trainers
Keep every route, key and pet profile in order.
A walker or sitter lives on recurring visits, house access and trust. We build a booking flow with meet-and-greets, recurring schedules and pet profiles, then keep your routes, walk reports, packages and training notes organized behind it, whether you run solo or with a small team.
What we set up
Meet-and-greet booking and pet profiles
New customers book a meet-and-greet, then fill out a pet profile with feeding notes, routines, vet contact and a vaccine upload. Recurring walks and drop-in visits are set up from the profile, with add-ons like a longer walk or medication-time visit.
Routes, walkers and secure access
Each walker sees a daily route with stops, group-walk size limits and handoff notes. Gate, lockbox and alarm details are stored behind logins and shown to the assigned walker only, never in chat or in customer-facing messages.
Reports, packages and holiday booking
Walkers send a photo or GPS walk report after each visit. Walk packages track visits used and expiry dates, training sessions keep progress notes, and holiday dates open early with a booking cutoff and a surcharge you set.
Where this business gets hard
Keys and codes are a trust issue
You hold the way into people's homes. Gate codes, lockbox combinations and alarm details need to sit behind logins, go only to the assigned walker, and be removed when a walker leaves or a customer ends service.
Group walks have a limit
Too many dogs at once is a safety risk and may break local limits. The schedule needs a cap per walker and a check for dogs who should not walk with others.
Incidents need a written record
A dog slips a collar, a scratch appears or a visit runs late. A quick incident note with time, photos and who was told protects the pet, the customer and you.
Holidays and last-minute requests
Everyone wants a sitter the same few days. A booking cutoff, a holiday surcharge and a capped number of visits per day keep you from overpromising.
Set up for the way you work
Not every dog walkers, sitters & trainers business runs the same way. We adjust the setup to fit yours.
- Solo walker
- You are the route. Setup centers on recurring slots, travel gaps between stops, and a simple client portal with reports and payments.
- Walking company with a team
- Several walkers, routes by area and a mix of employees and contractors. Setup adds assignments, group-size limits, coverage for sick days and payroll or payout exports.
- Pet sitter (drop-ins and overnights)
- Visits inside the customer's home, plus overnight stays. Setup stresses feeding and medication notes, access details, emergency contacts and daily update photos.
- Dog trainer
- Sessions, multi-week packages and homework. Setup covers intake forms, per-session progress notes, session expiry and follow-up reminders. We do not diagnose behavior; the trainer does.
Busy seasons and slow ones
Summer vacations and the winter holidays are often the busiest sitting stretches, and bookings can fill weeks ahead. Hot weather may shorten midday walks, and bad weather can bring cancellations. Spring and early fall often bring new puppy and training inquiries. Early holiday booking with a cutoff and surcharge, and walk packages pushed in slower months, help even out the year.
What your customers ask before they book
Your AI assistant and website are set up to answer these before anyone has to call.
- Do you offer a meet-and-greet before the first walk?
- Can I set up a recurring weekday walk, and what if I need to skip a day?
- How do I get updates or photos during the walk?
- How do you handle my house key or door code?
- What is your holiday booking cutoff and surcharge?
- What is the cancellation policy, and do packages expire?
Common mistakes we help you avoid
- Keeping door codes in a shared text thread or notebook instead of one secured place.
- Letting group walks grow past a set limit because a regular asked for one more dog.
- Skipping the vaccine record or behavior notes at sign-up, then finding out mid-walk.
- Overlooking local licensing, pet-care insurance and walker classification rules. They vary by city and state, and the owner stays responsible.
Local rules and coverage vary
Business licensing, pet-care insurance and bonding, limits on how many dogs one person may walk, leash and park rules, and how you classify walkers (employee or contractor) vary by city and state. We build waiver, vaccine-record and incident-report steps around your own policies and coverage. The assistant does not give veterinary or behavior advice and never shows access codes. You stay responsible for meeting the rules that apply to your work.
