Farms, farmers' market vendors & CSAs

Know what is in the field before you promise it to a customer.

A farm sells what the weather allows. We build share sign-up, pickup scheduling and market pre-orders on the front, then keep the harvest list, the number of shares sold, the pickup sites and the wholesale accounts lined up behind it, so a short week does not become a pile of apologies.

What we set up

Shares, boxes and pre-orders

Customers pick a share size or a one-time box, a pickup site and a pickup window, and pay. Subscribers can skip or pause a week before your cutoff, and a failed card triggers a friendly reminder and a retry instead of a surprise. Market pre-orders reserve items for the stand.

Harvest list against shares sold

Each week you enter what is ready to pick. The board compares it with the boxes owed, so you can see a short crop early and plan a substitution that you approve, instead of finding out at packing time.

Pickup sites, wholesale and the stand

Packing lists group by pickup site and window. Wholesale accounts for restaurants and stores have their own order sheets, and u-pick and farm-stand hours are posted and updated in one place, including weather closures.

Where this business gets hard

Crops do not follow the sign-up sheet

A hailstorm, a heat wave or a late planting can leave a week short. Seeing the harvest against shares sold early gives you time to substitute, add a different item or message members before pickup.

Members skip, pause and forget

Travel, holidays and a full fridge lead to skipped weeks. A cutoff before packing, a clear pause option and a short reminder keep your packing numbers honest.

Failed payments pile up quietly

A card expires and the box goes out unpaid. Automatic retries, a message to the member and a rule about holding the box protect you without awkward conversations.

Food rules differ and questions are sensitive

Allergen questions, labeling and what you may sell vary by state. Those questions go to the owner, and the site never promises that a box is free of any allergen.

Set up for the way you work

Not every farms, farmers' market vendors & csas business runs the same way. We adjust the setup to fit yours.

CSA farm
Season-long or weekly shares, pickup sites, skip and pause rules, and a members list. Setup centers on recurring billing and the packing list.
Farmers' market vendor
Pre-orders for market day, stock counted on the table and a simple way to reserve items for regulars. Little recurring billing.
Farm stand and u-pick
Posted hours, seasonal crop notes, weather closures and a simple way to book a u-pick time. Setup centers on hours, capacity and updates.
Wholesale-focused grower
Standing orders for restaurants and stores, availability sheets and invoices. Fewer customers, larger orders and pickup or delivery days.

Busy seasons and slow ones

Spring is sign-up season for shares, when members commit before the first harvest. Summer is the peak for variety and market traffic, and heat or storms can reduce yield. Fall brings pumpkin, apple and holiday pre-orders. Winter is often slow, so it works well for early-bird share sign-ups, storage-crop boxes where you grow them, and planning the next year's crops and pickup sites.

What your customers ask before they book

Your AI assistant and website are set up to answer these before anyone has to call.

  • What is in the box, and what happens if a crop fails that week?
  • Can I skip a week or pause the share, and by when?
  • Where and when is pickup, and what if I miss my window?
  • Do you have a u-pick, and what are the hours?
  • Can I add eggs, honey or flowers to my order?
  • I have an allergy. Can you tell me what is safe?

Common mistakes we help you avoid

  • Selling more shares than the fields can fill, with no plan for a short week.
  • Promising exact box contents instead of a clear substitution policy.
  • Answering allergen or food-safety questions without the owner, or promising a box is safe for an allergy.
  • Overlooking cottage-food, labeling and tax rules. They vary by state and county, and the owner stays responsible.

Food-sales rules vary by state

Cottage-food and farm-sales rules, labeling, licensing, food-safety practices, sales tax on food and rules for selling at markets or by subscription differ by state and county. We build order, pause and substitution steps around your own policies. Allergen and food-safety questions always go to you, never an automated answer. You stay responsible for meeting the rules that apply to your farm. This is not legal advice and we make no certification claims.
